Bluebird Care is looking for Live-in Caregivers to join our team and make a difference in our customers' daily lives, by providing holistic, person-centred care to enable them to live as independently as possible within their own homes. We do require more than 1-year experience in a home care, residential care setting.

Unfortunately, we do not offer sponsorship. You will need to be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

At Bluebird Care, we have a central Live-in care team are based out Totton, but we support customers living in the areas of- Lymington, Sway, New Milton, Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst, Totton, Portsmouth and Southampton. Our main aim is to find you a regular customer, as this will mean better continuity for you and our customers.

Regarding your work pattern- some of our Live-in Caregivers choose to work 3 weeks at a time before having time off, whereas some prefer to work longer periods of time, up to 8 weeks, before having time off. You can choose, which would suit you better, however, we do request a minimum of 3 weeks at a time.

We would want you to have experience of looking after people as this role is not easy and can be lonely. Due to the length of time you will be working, you do need to be prepared to be away from your family and friends.

Our live-in care assistants have all one thing in common; they are switched on, hands-on, attentive, and caring about the welfare of our customers.

What would you do daily?

As a Live-in Care Assistant, you will move in with the customer and stay with them for a minimum of 3 weeks up to 8 weeks with 2 weeks break after the assignment.

3 weeks on - 2 weeks off
4 weeks on - 2 weeks off
6 weeks on - 2 weeks off

You build a rapport with the customer and support them through the day with getting up or going to bed, washing and personal care, medication needs, meal preparation, and companionship. Often you would be running the housekeeping overall. Eventually, you could end up with more complex caring for which we will train you.

What do we look for in terms of ability?

Being very hands-on, robust, and being healthy as this job can be challenging on your mental state and physically.
Reliable and caring nature
More than several years of experience in health care settings, nursing roles or housekeeping roles.
Being able to cook nutritious English meals. We want you to promote healthy meal planning with our customers
Being level-headed and can deal with emergencies competently and promptly.
Please note, we are looking for candidates who speak and write in fluent English, as communication via iPads, phones, and computers are used for this role.
You must be able to provide us with proof of your right to work in UK. ( E. g a settled or pre-settled status as part of the EU settlement scheme, British passport or a current visa that allows you to work in the UK with no restrictions).
