At Teaching Personnel we have been asked by a partner Secondary school to support them with their recruitment for a classroom assistant who can provide support for pupils aged 11-16. The pupils have been identified as having additional learning needs where a member of staff needs to be on hand to aid their learning from a one-to-one basis.
The school have specified that they are not specifically looking for a specialist with additional learning needs experience as the main thing they are looking for is someone with the right attitude to supporting young people through an engaging and enthusiastic personality.
You will be working within the mainstream Secondary school as part of a large learning support team with a mixture of Teachers and Teaching assistants who will be able to support you in your role.
Details of the role:
- Term times Monday -Friday
- Full Time 8:20-3:15
- Supporting pupils aged 11-16
- Assisting the Additional learning needs coordinator (ALNco)
- Part of a large & supportive team

The school is easily accessible for drivers with parking on site and also has bus and train route that goes nearby. On occasions you may be required to stay after school for training which will be provided by the school and give you an insight in to some of the specialist needs and support functions of the young people you are working with.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
